GAP, leading stockist of PVC-U Building Products, is adding 12 new delivery vehicles to its fleet to improve service to existing customers across the UK and allow for quicker depot openings.
The new multi-purpose delivery fleet has been specially customised with extended long wheel bases to allow GAP to deliver both long lengths of Homeline Fascias, Soffits and Gutters, but also Homeframe Windows and Doors thanks to newly added Frail racks. By having extended wheel bases and purpose built ‘boxes’ GAP can deliver all their products to customers in perfect condition – and more important dry as they are sheltered from the elements.
GAPs Joint MD Charles Greensmith commented “With the growth in sales recently we wanted to take the opportunity to invest in our fleet, not just to improve customers existing delivery service, but also to allow us to open depots more efficiency by having new vehicles ready to enter service as and when we open new depots.” Charles continues, “As our business has changed and adapted over the years, so have our vehicles. With all of our new vehicles being designed especially for GAP, we’ve had to align our fleet expansion with our new depot expansion to ensure customers get the full GAP experience from day one. Our new vehicles ensure our products get to our customers as they expect them – clean and dry.”
The first of the new fuel efficient fleet is currently delivering GAPs wide range of PVC-U building products to customers across Essex from its base in Wickford.
