On Saturday 31st May, Area Sales manager for GAP Bradford John McGann, together with the Clayton 61st Scout group launched their attempt at tackling the Yorkshire 3 peaks challenge for charity.
The Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge takes in the peaks of Pen-y-ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough, and was supported by GAP Ltd – manufacturer and stockist of uPVC Building Products and GAP’s sister company Rockdoor – manufacturer of UK’s strongest composite door.
John and team completed the 3 peaks challenge in an impressive 10.5 hours, feeling tired but satisfied after a long hot summer’s day! They proudly displayed their GAP and Rockdoor banner on top of each peak.
More good news resulted from the challenge as 4 Scouts and 1 leader from West Yorkshire Scouting association have been selected to go to Japan to assist with the rebuild of damaged towns whilst also increasing their personal development.
Well done!
