New HR Manager Joins GAP

We are pleased to introduce James Wormwell (Jim), who recently joined GAP as Group HR Manager. With over 25 years of experience in Human Resources, particularly within the manufacturing sector, Jim brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to our team.

Over the course of his career, Jim has worked across various industries, including furniture, automotive, and food processing. Primarily holding general HR roles, he also has experience working in specialised positions in training and development and talent management.

Jim’s extensive experience, coupled with his impressive educational background, makes him a superb addition to our HR team. He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) and holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Employment Law.

Along with the entire GAP team, our Joint MD, Simon Bird, welcomed Jim to his new role and reiterated GAP’s commitment to expansion as we achieved the 100-depot milestone this year. “As GAP continues to grow and expand its nationwide network of depots and manufacturing operations, having the right people in place has never been more essential. Jim's extensive experience, personality and commitment to people development make him a great addition to our team. We are excited to see the positive impact his leadership will bring as we continue our journey.”
