Richard Lee has been appointed as Commercial Director of GAP Ltd, the UKs leading independent manufacturer and distributor of PVC-U and Aluminium building products.
In his current role as Window and Roof Divisional Manager, Richard has excelled in delivering many exciting developments that have taken place which have been well received by customers. This includes the strategic shift to offering Rehau profiles as standard for all windows and Rockdoors the business produces, as well as launching a new Aluminium bi folding door under the brand of HomeView using Cortizo profile.
Simon Bird commented on the new appointment, “Although Richard has only been with us for a relatively short period of time, it was clear from the beginning of his value to this business thanks to his near 30 years in the industry. His product knowledge, supplier relationships and reputation within GAP is clear for all to see.
With 80 depots across the country together with 5 manufacturing plants, it was important for us to create a position which linked together many key roles within the business.
Throughout a challenging period for our industry, our sole focus remains working towards putting the customer first, by providing quality products and services and I’m sure Richard will play a key part in this journey.”

As a business, GAP is gearing up to expand its depot network in early 2022, whilst also upgrading a large proportion of existing depots.
