The latest addition to the depot network in Scotland will add to the 80+ currently in operation.
GAP are delighted to announce that the latest addition to the depot network will be located in Dundee, reaffirming the company’s commitment to growth.
Set to become the ninth depot in Scotland, it will also become the sixth to open in the eastern lowlands’ region of the country, alongside Edinburgh, Dunfermline, both Aberdeen North and South depots and Falkirk. The opening of the Dundee depot will bridge the gap for customers located between our Dunfermline and Aberdeen South depots.
GAP Dundee will feature the new format trade counter which has currently been trialled in some of the current depots across the network, utilising large LED screens for the best possible customer experience. It will also have a purpose built ‘hub’ where customers can comfortably order bespoke products such as Rockdoors, Lanterns, Bi folds and Windows.
Speaking on the latest addition to the depot network, Simon Bird of GAP describes the move as one to make the depot network more convenient for customers within the region:
“With our closest depot located nearly an hour away, we felt it was only right to emphasise our dedication for our customers in the region who we want to receive the level of service that they should expect, by bringing a depot closer to them.”
“We are continually looking to improve and grow individually as a business to bring GAP to new parts of the country, but we hope the latest move reinforces our commitment to customers in the eastern part of Scotland.”
Dundee will become the latest part of the UK to stock GAP’s UPVC range of Homeline Building Products including fascias, soffits, cladding and trims and Soudal sealant ranges. In addition to building products, GAP’s bespoke product range including Rockdoor Composite Doors, HomeFrame Windows and HomeView Bi Folds will be available for purchase at the newest outlet.
The depot will be located on the Dryburgh Industrial Estate, off the A90 and is set to be managed by Alistair Jones and his friendly, dedicated team.
The unit is currently undergoing a makeover so that GAP Dundee will be able to open its’ doors to customers on Tuesday 19thJuly 2022.
