At GAP, we’re proud to support Maggie’s Stillbirth Legacy. Throughout the year, we’ve organised various activities and events to raise funds for this incredible cause, with participation from everyone at GAP. It’s been inspiring to see so many of our employees come together to raise a total of £5,000 through cake sales, tuck shops, raffles, and fundraising days.
Last week, we were honoured to welcome Sarah, who runs Maggie’s Stillbirth Legacy, to our head office in Blackburn. During her visit, she was invited to speak about her voluntary work. In a heartfelt gesture, Sarah was surprised with a £5,000 cheque in recognition of her dedication to supporting bereaved families through Maggie’s Stillbirth Legacy, which provides CuddleCots, CuddleBlankets, and memory boxes to families who have lost a child.
Sarah expressed her gratitude, saying, “It was absolutely amazing. I’ve never had this kind of donation before, and I’ve never had someone fundraise for me. It just blew me away – the planning, the work they’ve done, and the fact they kept it all a secret. I have friends who work there, and they didn’t tell me!”
This great initiative has also gained recognition in the local community, with GAP being highlighted in the Lancashire Telegraph for raising such an incredible amount and presenting it to Sarah in support of her vital work. Read the full story here.
This effort is a true reflection of GAP’s commitment to making a positive impact in the community and supporting meaningful causes.
