Huddersfield: The Home of our 44th Depot

One of Huddersfield’s iconic former textile spinning mills has welcomed one of the UK’s fastest-growing building materials groups.

GAP Ltd has opened the doors of its 44th trade depot opposite Screwfix in the Dyeworks development; which fronts onto Albert Street in the fast-growing industrial area just off the A616 Lockwood Road.

Leading the charge for the GAP team is Depot Manager Ashley Parkinson; born and bred in Huddersfield, and an industry giant with over 10 years of experience within the PVC building products trade.

As well as hundreds of special launch offers across its line-up of 4,000 PVC-U window, door and roofline products, GAP’s Dyeworks Depot is the Huddersfield home of Rockdoor; best-known as the ‘Door That Beat The Bobby’!

Sales Director Paul Sowerby said:

“We’ve been searching for the right site from which to meet the needs of Huddersfield’s local builders for several months, and we’re confident we’ll shake up the market with some great deals and a team, led by Ashley, that really understands customer service.”

A privately-owned business headquartered in Blackburn, GAP already operates a network of trade Depots across the UK ranging from Aberdeen to Enfield. After Huddersfield, it plans to expand its reach with a further 15 Depots by the end of 2017 and aims to have 80 by 2019.

The depot is located on Albert Street, Huddersfield, HD1 3QD.
